Life lessons
We spend our whole lives trying to grow up and all the time, we still long for the ease, simplicity and security of being infants! This is a comical picture, but what a great reminder of how God wants us to be small, finding complete comfort, peace and pleasure in His care.
That's a loaded question. The answer is, I'm not sure, but I do know that it is a continual process and I get excited, frustrated and overjoyed at that process on a daily basis! A few things I DO know: I am a 31 year old mother of two, beautiful girls who has the privilege of being a pastor's wife. I grew up as a pastor's daughter, and never thought it a privilege, but a curse. As I grow in wisdom (not age in years ;-), I have learned that even in the roughest times, it is more than a blessing to be so near to the work that your spouse is engrossed in, all for the sake of Christ and seeing others come to know Him as their Lord and Savior and desire to follow Him more closely. I have the HUGE privilege of staying home with our daughters, Jovey and Laney, and watching most every moment of their young lives unfold before my very eyes. It happens all too quickly and how awesome to be here to be even a small part of their little lives for whom God has great big plans, I am sure!
